  • 2011 Boise State University Construction Education Dept., Thirty in Thirty, recognized MarCon as one of thirty significant contributors to their program over the past thirty years
  • 2006 Elaine Martin and MarCon Inc are noted in the 13th college textbook edition of Small Business Management--An Entrepreneurial Emphasis, Part 1, page 12 as an example of the growing number of successful woman entrepreneurs in the United States
  • 2005 Idaho AGC SIR award winner. Skills, Integrity and Responsibility - presented by AGC of America President, Sam Hunter
  • 2003 Arizona State University and National Association of Women in Construction Outstanding Woman in Construction award
  • 2002 Small Business Administration’s Idaho Small Business Person of the Year
  • 2000 National Association of Women in Construction Crystal Achievement Award in recognition of exemplary accomplishments as a role model and mentor for women in construction
  • 1999 Idaho’s First Woman Entrepreneur of the Year
  • 1985 Idaho Attorney General, Jim Jones, honored Elaine Martin as "Special Water Advisor and Counselor" for assisting in the resolution of the Swan Falls water rights dispute.  Martin also served as President of Idaho Water Rights Development Association Inc. and represented the irrigators that would be impacted by Idaho Power's plan to use farmer owned water for power production. 
  • Sled Dog Racer 1981-1986: won and placed in various races across the United States and Canada, rising as high as 1st in the Western US and 8th in the world. At the Canadian World Championship Race, 7-dog team, placed 2nd only 1/100 of a minute behind the winner after 3 days of 10 mile races each day. 1970-1989: Business Manager and primary support for family members Terry, Tory and Justin as they won four International Sled Dog Racing Association Gold Medals, three World Championships, and two junior North American Championships.
